Grey Tip Tungsten

The Grey Tip Tungsten Electrode (WPZ), also known as zirconiated tungsten, is designed for AC TIG welding of aluminium and magnesium alloys. It combines the stability of pure tungsten with added zirconium oxide, which improves arc stability, tip durability, and resistance to contamination.

Unlike green (pure) tungsten, grey tips maintain a rounded tip without splitting, making them ideal for demanding applications where consistent arc performance is critical.
