The Complete Beginner Welding Setup
Starting MIG welding can feel complicated when you still need to choose a machine, helmet, wire, torch, leads and consumables separately. This MATWeld Super MIG 130A Beginner Combo brings the essentials together in one practical package, so a new welder can start with gasless MIG welding from a standard 220V supply.
The combo includes a 1 kg roll of 0.9 mm premium gasless MIG wire. Because the wire is self-shielded, you do not need a gas bottle or regulator for your first gasless MIG jobs. Load the wire, select the correct welding mode, connect the earth clamp and practise your settings on scrap steel.
Why This Is Our Best Beginner Combo
- Easier machine setup: Synergic control helps simplify the initial setup, while the separate voltage adjustment gives you room to fine-tune the arc as your skills improve.
- Clear digital controls: The digital display and selectable welding modes make it easier to see and adjust your settings.
- Runs on 220V: Suitable for a home garage, small workshop, farm shed or trade counter setup with a compatible 220V supply.
- Gasless MIG ready: The supplied 0.9 mm flux-cored wire lets you start without buying or renting a shielding-gas cylinder.
- Essential protection included: The Pinnacle Arco auto-darkening helmet and welding gloves cover the basic face, eye and hand protection needed to get started.
- Consumables included: Five spare 0.9 mm contact tips and two wire brushes mean you already have useful day-one consumables for wire feeding and weld preparation.
- More than one process: The machine supports gas and gasless MIG, MMA stick and optional Lift TIG, giving you room to learn more processes later.
- Compact and portable: At 3.4 kg, the machine is easy to move around a home workshop, garage or job site.
Everything Needed for Your First Gasless MIG Welds
The removable MIG torch, earth cable and supplied gasless wire cover the core welding setup. The helmet and gloves provide essential protection, while the wire brushes help clean the steel before welding and remove slag or residue afterwards. Spare contact tips are included because tips are wear items and smooth wire feeding matters when you are learning.
A stick lead is also included, so the machine is ready for MMA stick welding once you add the correct welding electrodes for the job. Lift TIG capability is available with optional TIG equipment, which is not included in this combo.
